The facet about studying at the College of Design, ISU that I found the most rewarding was its educational foundation in Bauhaus principles. Bauhaus school, itself, was founded upon the idea of creating a Gesamtkunstwerk ("'total' work of art") in which all of the arts, including architecture, would be brought together.
The Bauhaus style later became one of the most influential currents in modern art, design and architecture. Its movement had a profound influence upon subsequent developments in these fields as well as that of graphic design, interior design, industrial design and typography. I cherish and am honored to carry on this lineage.
